Omobolanle Adekoya

Omobolanle is the ESG/Sustainability Platform Leader and is a member of PwC Africa’s Leadership Team as the Africa Inclusion and Diversity Leader. She leads the Africa Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services team in the West Market Area, specializing in providing capital market advisory services including listings-readiness; development of capital market regulation and structures; debt and equity listing; due diligence support; and accounting, corporate, and sustainability reporting advice to clients.
She has over 25 years’ experience in providing professional consulting services to clients in various industries and has garnered experience across four (4) continents including Africa markets, supporting them to raise traditional and sustainable finance on capital markets, structure transactions, navigating through the complexities of regulation, accounting advisory, sustainability and actuarial services. She is a globally accredited Corporate Reporting Consultant with extensive capital markets experience.
She has supported clients in the development of sustainable finance frameworks and worked with capital market authorities and securities exchanges in Nigeria market, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, and Ethiopia. She has also supported clients with gap analysis in readiness for the implementation of the Sustainability standards (IFRS S1 and S2).
She was a member of Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC)’s IFRS S1 and S2 Adoption Readiness Working Group (ARWG) and involved in developing the roadmap for implementation. She has also been involved in driving numerous stakeholder awareness and capacity building programs around ESG in many industries.
As a frequent contributor to internal and external panels on Corporate Reporting, Deals, Sustainability and Capital Markets developments, Bolanle has participated in various working committees of regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Nigeria and Ghana, FRC, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Marilyn Obaisa-Osula

Marilyn Obaisa-Osula is the Partner and Head, ESG/Sustainability and Climate Change Services in PwC Nigeria. She also oversees similar services in the West Market Area in Africa.
She has over 15 years experience as a business development and market-entry expert and a sustainability professional for small enterprises and large corporates. She has been a project director on several sustainability, sustainability reporting, climate related and impact projects across various sectors: Agriculture, FMCGs, Public sector, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance, DFIs, Commercial Banks, Tech-startups, and Energy.
She is a member of the Advisory panel of the ACCA Sustainability Working Group Africa Initiative. She is also a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) of Nigeria. She is a certified Lead Auditor for ISO standards on Environmental and Quality Management systems (14000:2015 & 9001:2015, respectively).
Additionally, she was once an appointed member of the Panel of Experts for Adaptation Benefit Mechanism on Climate Change-related matters for a DFI and served as a member of the Adoption Readiness Working Group (ARWG) for the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC) on IFRS ISSB S1 and S2 Standards adoption for Nigeria.
She has facilitated several board, management, and staff trainings over the years both locally and internationally. She has served as a panellist and keynote speaker on topical issues around impact, sustainability, sustainable investments and climate change. She is dedicated to the advancement of sustainable development across Africa.

Tusiime Oputeh

– Associate Director, Corporate Reporting Services
Tusiime is an Associate Director in the Corporate Reporting Services (CRS) team, with over ten (10) years of extensive experience in providing solutions to complex IFRS and sustainability reporting matters, assurance and accounting advisory services, and corporate reporting solutions across various industries. Her expertise spans multiple jurisdictions, including Nigeria, the Netherlands, and South Africa.
Tusiime has significant expertise in sustainability reporting, particularly in the implementation of IFRS S1 and S2 standards. As a globally accredited sustainability reporting consultant, She has led transition training, capacity building, and stakeholder awareness initiatives across multiple industries, helping organizations integrate sustainability information with financial disclosures. Her work in ESG advisory focuses on enhancing the connectedness between financial and non-financial reporting, ensuring that companies meet evolving regulatory and stakeholder expectations in corporate sustainability reporting.
She is also a globally accredited IFRS consultant within the PwC network and also specializes in financial reporting matters outside of the financial services sector. She has led numerous engagements, offering technical accounting and regulatory compliance advice, implementing and calibrating new accounting standards, and supporting organizations in financial statement preparation and review. She is also a certified financial statement reviewer, ensuring accuracy and compliance in corporate reporting.
Beyond her advisory role, Tusiime is a distinguished training facilitator overseeing firm-wide IFRS training programs and leading the PwC IFRS Academy in Nigeria. Through internal and external training sessions, she equips professionals with the necessary technical skills and insights to navigate evolving financial reporting landscapes.

Godson Ikiebey

Godson Ikiebey is a sustainability and sustainable finance advisor with over 10 years of experience in sustainability integration and implementation and sustainable finance. He has the banking industry and academic experiences in sustainability. He has worked with clients across different industries and markets such as financial services, energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, and development sectors.
He has supported clients across the public and private sectors to deliver sustainability innovation and value. His research and advisory focus on the interplay between developing and implementing sustainability and climate change strategies, sustainable value creation and sustainable socio-economic development.
Godson is experienced in delivering capacity building programmes and has facilitated several sustainability training sessions covering key areas such as sustainability strategy, sustainability reporting, sustainable finance, etcetera. He drives the PwC Nigeria Sustainability Academy, an Academy of the PwC Business School responsible for developing the sustainability competencies and capabilities of organisations and professionals.
His research and capacity building interest include Public Policy, Sustainability, Sustainable Markets, Public and Corporate Sustainability Strategy, Sustainable Finance and Investment, Climate Finance, ESG, Sustainability Innovation Process, Corporate Tax Responsibility, Sustainable Socio-Economic Development, Just Energy Transition, Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions evaluation.

Cecilia Bjerborn Murai
FSD Africa
– Principal, Sustainable/Green Finance
Cecilia Bjerborn Murai brings 25 years of experience in international and African settings, where she has been involved in developing and implementing programs and projects that focus on sustainable finance policy, investment strategies and instruments, and investor education. She has been an active player in the global sustainable business and finance sector since its inception and has throughout her career established impactful strategies and partnerships for institutions engaged in sustainable finance.
She has worked for over 15 years with the United Nations and the World Bank Group. During this time, she worked on global initiatives such as the UN Principles for Responsible Investing and at IFC as Global Sustainable Investing Lead with institutional investors in the US, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East and Southern Africa on their ESG integration strategies. She was part of pioneering projects such as the implementation of the first ESG equity indices in Brazil, MENA, and India. Before her work with the World Bank Group, she gained experience working for specialist sustainability management consulting firms in Sweden and the UK implementing Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) and reporting for clients in the construction, manufacturing, and utilities sectors.
She has spent the last decade living and working in Africa, primarily in transaction advisory for sustainable infrastructure as well as developing the Green and Sustainable Bond Market as a consultant for FSD Africa, creating sustainable bond listing guidelines in Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, and the SADC region, and providing training and technical support for green bond issuers, stock exchanges, fund managers, and regulators. She has also authored several market-leading Sustainability and Integrated Annual Reports for private sector companies in Kenya. She was a technical regional advisor for the EU Global Gateway project and led the Climate Finance pillar of the first African Climate Summit. Following that, she developed a program on debt sustainability initiatives and sustainable investment mobilization for UNECA and the African Union.
Cecilia holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Imperial College UK, is an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (AMIEM) UK and holds a certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, USA.
She enjoys spending time in nature with her family and supports the primary school’s extracurricular activities related to conservation and beach sports.

Adebayo Araoye
FSD Africa
– Senior Specialist, Catalytic Transactions
Adebayo has over a decade of capital markets experience across transaction & advisory, securities regulation, strategy, and regulatory development. He has implemented various capital market regulatory initiatives, including developing market rules, review programs for listed companies and supervision framework for market intermediaries.
At FSD Africa, he leads the implementation of the Nigerian Green Bond Market Development and Africa Private Equity & Private Debt Programmes and SME financing initiatives across Africa. Prior to joining FSD Africa, Adebayo was a Senior Manager in PwC Nigeria’s Capital Markets Advisory practice, where he supported clients in implementing capital-raising strategies. He also supported stakeholders like stock exchanges, financial regulators, and development finance institutions in executing market development initiatives, conducting market research studies and assessments, and designing a capital market master plan.
Adebayo holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Lagos and is a Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance.

Yinka Edu

Yinka Edu is a partner in the law firm Udo Udoma &Belo-Osagie. She co-heads the firm’s Banking & Finance team and heads the firm’s Capital Markets team. She has been involved in various financial and capital markets transactions, including advising on the first global depositary receipts programme, the first Eurobond issuance by a Nigerian Corporate, and the establishment of the first ETF to be listed in Nigeria.
She regularly advises on the establishment of mutual funds, derivatives transactions, and public mergers and acquisitions transactions. She also advises on issues relating to the Nigerian bond market and compliance issues in banking and capital market assignments, many of which, being innovative or new to Nigeria, often require skilled liaison with our regulatory authorities. She was a core team member who advised several local banks on the 2008 banking consolidation mergers.
Yinka has published articles in Getting the Deal Through—Securities Finance—Nigeria and The International Comparative Legal Guide to Mergers & Acquisitions. She presents papers and conducts seminars at the IBA Conferences on security for bank lending and capital markets issues. She chairs the Capital Markets’ Solicitors Association of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law Competition Committee.
Yinka is the only Nigerian lawyer ranked Tier 1 in Chambers and Partners for fintech work. Chambers Global also ranks her for her expertise in banking and finance and corporate/commercial practice. She is commended for her banking, finance, and capital markets work in Who’s Who Legal. She sits on the boards of several companies.

Lisa Esamah

Lisa Esamah is a senior associate at Nigeria’s leading law firm, Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie. She is a member of the firm’s capital markets, banking and finance, and corporate advisory teams. She has extensive experience in advising clients on various transactions; she has been involved in a wide range of complex transactions, including leveraged & acquisition finance, debt capital market, corporate restructuring commercial transactions, insolvency, equity capital markets, initial public offerings, private placement, private equity, and regulatory advisory services in the course of which she has worked with international and domestic investors.
She was instrumental in advising BUA Group on the consolidation of the BUA group’s sugar, flour, pasta, rice, and oil businesses into BUA Foods PLC and the subsequent listing by the introduction of the shares of BUA Foods PLC in the consumer goods sector of the Mainboard of Nigerian exchange limited, with the trading symbol “BUAFoods.” As a result, N720 billion was added to the market capitalisation of Nigerian Exchange Limited.
Lisa was also a crucial part of the team which advised Presco PLC in connection with the establishment of its N50 Billion Bond issuance programme and subsequent N30 billion series 1 issuance. She also advised MTN Nigeria Communications PLC in connection with the establishment of a N150 billion commercial paper programme and its subsequent series 1 and 2 issuances. Lisa is part of the team advising as solicitor to the Transaction in connection with the establishment of a N30 billion bond issuance programme by an agribusiness and manufacturing company.

Mr. Emmanuel Etaderhi

Mr. Etaderhi is the Head of the Government Affairs Division at FMDQ Group PLC, which comprises two groups—Government Relations and Regulatory Relations. He also serves as the Executive Secretary of the Financial Centre for Sustainability, Lagos (FC4SL), and holds oversight responsibilities for External Relations within FMDQ Group.
He holds a Master’s degree in Management, a Master’s degree in Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
With over twenty-nine (29) years of experience spanning the Financial Services and Power & Energy sectors, Mr. Etaderhi has held key roles such as Head of Financial Advisory & Economic Research at Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Head of Research at Keystone Bank Limited, and Acting Head of Strategy/Chief Economist at Unity Bank PLC. Before joining FMDQ in 2014, he served the Delta State Government as Special Assistant to the Finance Commissioner.
At FMDQ, he coordinated the operationalisation of the Debt Capital Market Development Project (in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation, the Securities and Exchange Commission and key market stakeholders); as well as the Nigerian Green Bond Market Development Project (in collaboration with Financial Sector Deepening Africa, Kenya). He has spoken at numerous workshops and seminars on climate finance, gender, and sustainability across several countries, including Hong Kong, Italy, Geneva, Morocco, and Ivory Coast. Mr. Etaderhi is a signatory to the UNDP FC4S Global Gender Charter. Under his leadership, FC4SL organised the maiden Environmental, Social, and Financial (ESF) Capital Markets Conference with the Securities and Exchange Commission in July 2023.
Through his leadership, FC4SL has successfully raised approximately $20 million to support climate-focused SMEs in Nigeria. He served as a member of the Steering Committee of the UNDP FC4S Network between 2021 and 2024. And was a member of the Adoption Readiness Working Group (ARWG) that supported the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) Nigeria in facilitating the adoption of Sustainability Standards IFRS S1 and S2.

Eniola Akinsete
Bank of Industry
– Group Head, Advisory and Chief Sustainability Officer
Eniola Akinsete is the Group Head, Advisory Services and Chief Sustainability Officer at the Bank of Industry. She has over 20 years of experience in banking, manufacturing, energy, agriculture and telecommunications sectors. Her functional expertise span across financial advisory, micro enterprise development, lending and loan product development, strategy development and implementation.
At the Bank, her responsibilities include providing financial advisory services to the Bank’s customers seeking to raise capital to grow their operations. She also oversees the Bank’s efforts at sourcing for and implementing credit enhancement instruments to deepen lending activities in the Bank. In addition, she champions the achievement of the sustainability goals through its lending activities and day to day operations. By this, Eniola works with her team members to support the Bank’s deployment of its Environmental and Social Management System while exploring initiatives to manage the Bank’s carbon footprint.
Before this, Eniola worked in the Bank as Divisional Head, Micro Lending where her focus was developing tailored products to promote financial inclusion while crowding in Nigerian entrepreneurs in the informal sector. In this position, Eniola led her team to develop innovative lending solutions to drive the Bank’s development impact mandate.
Prior to joining the Bank, Eniola worked as a Senior Manager on PwC Nigeria’s Capital Projects & Infrastructure team where she supported the firms clients in the energy, telecommunications and healthcare sectors to review commercial viability of their projects, develop relevant marketing materials and provide negotiation support for the clients capital raising activities.
Eniola holds a Master in Business Administration degree from Instituto de Empresa (IE) Business School, Spain. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.

Rotimi Akinde
Bank of Industry
– Executive Director, Corporate Finance & Investments
Mr. Akinde is a finance professional with over 20 years Investment and Corporate Banking experience and an extensive track record covering Capital Raising (Debt, Equities and Hybrids) as well as Corporate Finance (Mergers & Acquisitions, Privatization Advisory and Project/Infrastructure Finance).
Prior to joining the Bank of Industry, he was an Associate Partner, Infrastructure & Corporate Finance at the Infrastructure Delivery International (IDI) where he led and promoted green financing initiatives and structured debt solutions for sub-nationals. He was previously the Corporate Finance Advisor at the Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (‘NIAF’), providing financing initiatives, modelling and funding structures for the infrastructure team.
He served within Corporate Banking as the Group Head & Assistant General Manager, Multinationals at UBA Plc, prior to which he was Vice President, Corporate Finance & Advisory at UBA Global Markets (‘now United Capital’). He was a Privatization Adviser & Head, Oil & Gas Team at the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), where he closed on the divestiture and sale of the Federal Government’s equity interest in 11 Oil Services Companies and achieved the sale of all the Federal Government’s LPG assets. He was also an Assistant Manager in Lead bank Plc, within the Investment and Corporate Banking Groups. Before this role, he had a stint as an Analyst with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, London and an Analyst with Barclays Funds, London.
Mr. Akinde holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; earned a Masters Degree in International Securities, Investment & Banking from the University of Reading, UK and an Executive MBA from INSEAD.
